Transmed’s Roots and History
Transmed has been providing quality mobile medical ultrasound examinations for regional rural hospitals and clinics since 1986.
We are privately owned and operated, and we are not affiliated with any health system. Our team works with all health systems in the region as well as independent hospitals and clinics. Transmed serves healthcare facilities in South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa.
In addition to our rural outreach, our team at Transmed also serves patients in the metropolitan Sioux Falls area. Our new office and clinic are located one block west of 77th and Minnesota. It has quick and easy parking and is very accessible for patients.
Transmed’s Goals
Transmed provides medical ultrasound services to rural hospitals and clinics, in addition to patients in Sioux Falls. Our goal is to provide patients with the highest quality ultrasound services and patient care. We strive every day to meet this goal by utilizing state of the art equipment and employing the best ultrasound technologists in the region. We take pride in every ultrasound we perform, and our staff participates in ongoing training, education, and competency reviews to ensure we continue to provide the highest quality patient care.
Transmed is accredited by the Joint Commission, which is the highest measure of quality and patient safety in the U.S. Our expert staff of ultrasound technologists, along with two medical directors and our director of quality assurance and compliance, strive every day to achieve Transmed’s goals and uphold our standards of quality and patient care.
We believe in providing the highest quality ultrasound exams at a fair price. We are approved by Medicare, Medicaid, and all major insurance providers in the area. Patients can benefit from our competitive pricing as insurance deductibles continue to rise.
